Murs, I really dig this skin, and in particular.. I am loving the shield. It's a great effect. You did a really good job with the tunic part of his costume, too.

The only thing this skin seems to be missing are the pouches on his belt. As for a merely aesthetic suggestion, maybe you could consider cutting off the tunic with a straight-lined seam, instead of the serrated one?

I'm with the group who's not a fan of scale male but that said I think when an artist like Johnson or Cassaday do it they can make it look good and what you've done is on that level. I think though if your doing that costume he needs some pouches like LP said.

As for the chain mail... I think the skinwork on it is done well. Even better when you look at the skin in full 3d

I'm reading through the second Cap Omnibus, and I haven't got to the part where Bucky puts on the costume, but I have to say that Brubaker has done a great job with that title.

I actually like the scalemail as well. I especially love Dave "devilpig" Johnson's take on it with the deep dark blue and the seams and piping.

That's a really nice depiction of that version of the costume.  Murs, you've got an excellent Cap skin there, and I for one rather like the scale mail for some reason.  Still, I'd agree with Cas that the mask and the chest are too different in shade of blue.  I think deepening the chest a bit might be the answer, or maybe lighten the cowl.  Great work lately, man!

Haha...no. But I did wonder why I used my time skinning it when I'd rather have skinned another version of the same character.

Fantastic version of BuckyCap's costume, Murs...  

However I'm sure another version of BuckyCap's costume will come somewhere during the first arc of the post-Reign Avengers because he picked the mostly black uniform to represent the mourning he felt from Roger's death. Kinda seems silly to keep wearing that version of the uniform after Steve has returned to life much less fighting a Red Skull robot in public view. My guess is that once Steve Rogers starts rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D. (and who doesn't see that coming) he gives Bucky the opportunity to update the costume for a more modern spin on the character.

Bucky's mother was Puerto Rican.

I didn't know that. If they put that in a story it would be a great way to address the costume. It would give a reason for Ross redesign that would seem character related instead of just a Ross movie costume pitch. I wonder why Brubaker hasn't used that.

Thank the heavens that Marvel went through the gradual process of losing that shininess. It looks much better without the "plastic" look.
