Green Hornet

These are really amazing the hair on the Falcon looks real and faces have a lot of character. Great detail.  :rickbm

Podmark

Nice job. I prefer the short hair Bucky, the long hair just didn't feel right to me.

Nice Falcon. Way way back I wanted to do a Falcon skin, but never got around to it. Falcon is my favorite character in Cap. Funny thing is back when I was first getting into comics I didn't like Falcon, he seemed really lame.

What part are you not pleased about it?

I feel like it's missing something. But I think it's just the simplicity of this costume compared to his others that has me scratching my head.

Hey thanks, I was unsure how I felt about his hair.

That Falcon is fantastic!

Benton, you liked something from a modern comic! :o
When will you finally cave in and give Captain America a shot?

While he isn't my favorite in Cap, I have grown to love him because of the series. I thought he was pretty lame beforehand as well.

Thanks guys

What do you think is missing from Falcon? I think it looks pretty damn good.. love the face work on it.

Sometimes, if I feel like a skin doesn't look 'finished', I'll add pants and shirt seams on the sides of the mesh's body... it feels more complete to me, somehow. Other times, it can be overkill.

murs47

Stonewall from Secret Warriors in his normal, stone, and metal forms. For those that don't read the title, this is The Absorbing Man's son. He's supposed to have bands on the top of the sleeves but it didn't look right just skinned on so I took them off.

That might work, I'll give it a try.

Podmark

Murs you've gotten too good. These look great. Skoping a belt might help.

I really like that stone texture you gave him. How'd you make that?

I don't know the character, but the skin is impressive. great details in the costume and the texture of the stone version is just perfect.

AfghanAnt

You skinned my favorite Secret Warrior! I am really loving the material forms.

laughing paradox

I want to know how to do that stone finish, too!

Stonewall looks really good, Murs. Were you thinking of doing other forms, like fire or wood?

It's actually pretty simple. Grab a concrete or rock texture image. You can find a bunch by Google-ing.

I used the hue/saturation palette to turn the flesh area of the skin into that greyish-brown color. Paste the texture file over your skin.

Now this is where my memory gets iffy. I can't remember exactly what I set the layer style to, but I'm positive it's Multiply or one the setting that's grouped with Overlay if not Overlay itself. Set the Layer Opacity between 25% - 60%. You'll have to experiment a bit with those two settings. I'd recommended figuring out the layer style before dealing with the opacity.

So far these are the only forms that he's displayed. But I will do more if he shows more. I hope he doesn't do a fire form, I don't think I could pull that one off.

Isn't he awesome? He needs more time in the limelight.

Thanks guys

Absorbing Man has a son?

:banghead:

I like this style of skinning you've moved to.  Very cool.

Scorpion13mk2

Isnt there some mesh that has some kinda FX thing to it to make the electrical arcs between the circles like in the comics?

Stunning details in the costume. The contrast between the metallic gold and the leather like blue is great!

laughing paradox

I literally said "Oooooh" when I saw it. Fantastic job.

BentonGrey

I don't know much about that character, but that is a really fantastic skin, Murs!

I'm not too sure. Skoping on an FX is possible though.

Oh really? You need to provide video evidence to verify this information, Mr. Paradox

Nice.

You know, I only really give a crap about this character since I read Annihilation. Annihilus, too. before that...eh, who cares, you know?

Nice Nova skin - We going to get a release soon on a few of these skins you've shown or have I missed something

I know exactly what you mean. I actually didn't care for any of the cosmic characters until I read Annihilation.

I just upgraded to Dreamweaver CS4 and the changes Adobe made from CS3 are different enough for a novice like me that I have to re-learn a few things. Once I do, they'll be up.
