Eh, it's ok. The white is kind of flat and bland in general, but the mask in particular has no real texture to it. Red on the buckle is overly bright, so that it doesn't seem to be beveled in the way the reds of deathlok's symbols are. Now, the blacks are up to your usual standard, but the contrast of shading is almost glaring next to the blah white sections of the costume.

I'm sorry Murs, but I just don't think this skin was any good. It's a real shame too, because all your other X-force work here has been great.

laughing paradox

Fantomex is a rough character due to his very dull design. He dresses all in white.. and yeah. Even Moon Knight is better designed.

With that said, I think you did a very cool job with this guy. I personally don't like the black lightning on the legs. I don't mind the chest design going up to the mask, that's kind of cool.

I like the skin and I like how it's a little off-white. There's a reason you're one of the best skinners in this community, amigo.

Dearest Murs,

I told you my opinion already, but I agree with what LP said. Fantomex's costume isn't visually appealing in general, so I don't think there's much you can do about that without redesigning it. I know you didn't want to do the L. bolts in the first place, but I think they came out alright minus the area we spoke about earlier. Overall, I think you did a good job, and the skin is perfectly adequate. Definitely not your best, but that's not really a fault of yours.  Do work, son!

Alright! It's Storm Shadow! Awesome!.....

Just kidding Murs :P, i think he looks cool enough to me. :)

Cyber Burn

I don't know if I care for the actual design, but great execution Murs. My only nitpick is the belt buckle, it seems a bit off-center to me, but I'm not familiar with Fantomex, so if that was intentional as part of the design, just ignore me.

Hey, don't get mad at me because I called you out on your laziness. Maybe if you put the same effort into it you did the other skins, I wouldn't be critiquing you.

detourne_me

I don't get all this Fantomex hate.  I really like Ol' Unca' Custer. Definitely one of the standouts of uncanny x-force, and this skin too is a definite standout in my books.
What kind of keyframes has he got?

Deaths Jester

The only quibble I have about the skin, Murs, is his eyes look a bit like he's surprised to see you.  Not overly important due to the fact that in-game you won't even see his face..but that's all.
Avatar picture originally a Brom painting entitled Marionette.

Indeed. Fantomex was the best part of X-Force.
Spoiler
I'm sad he left the team in the latest issue.

Keyframes are Gren's super spy vx ones.

Psylocke

Many thanks to Thomas C. Ato for letting me use his base. *sprays ketchup everywhere* Whoot! Get some!

Hmmm,

Not feeling the face much. I feel like she should look younger, and the vibe I get from your current version is more "little, old Asian lady." (Oh, hey... someone should skin Dragon Lady!) It's very "soft," and Psylocke usually has stronger, more defined features in many of her appearances.  And looking at the sash, I'm really starting to think it just doesn't photograph well. But, like Fantomex, her costume is boring, so there's not much there to attract your eye visually.

I love the costume, but the face is a little.... off, doesn't remind me of any artists work or of the character in general. Your X-Force work is AAMMMAAZZIINNGG! Makes me wish that Agent VENOM was in X-Force now.

Amazo Version 2.2

For anyone, and everyone, who has ever done anything to improve the FF/FFvs3R gaming experience, I want to say thank you. Life is so short, and you have all brought me so much joy. I hope that one day, I am somehow able to return the kindness and generosity that all of you have shown.

I somewhat agree. That little "old lady Asian" feel actually comes from the width of the head part of the mesh. Also, I referenced a Japanese super model and not any versions of Psylocke. I can try a different hair piece that'll cover both sides of the head to make it look more narrow or perhaps tomato can edit this and make the head more narrow. I dont really feel like re-skinning a character I dont care about so that's about the only options I'm willing to go with. Sorry Prevy-Prev.

Tomato

Murs, don't you blame me for your (many) problems. The mesh is itself fine, just look at my Detourne skin for the same base mesh. It's not the meshes' fault you don't skin female characters enough to know what you're doing with face skins.

And speaking of problems, you should probably adjust the levels on the black sections, the highlights are almost blurry right now.

Helix

I think the face issue is all about the eyebrows and lips. Arch those eyebrows and make her lips a bit fuller and poutier. Right now she looks a bit like Bruce Lee.

With that said, I can not skin faces AT ALL, so please don't be offended by my critique. You are an incredible skinner and I love your work!

Podmark

I'm so glad Psylocke got a different costume. If only it would propagate to the other books.

It kinda reminds me of the one from Exiles (obviously not in the purple/bluish color scheme) that was stripped from her almost immediately. I also don't think that costume was well received (though it wasn't hated either).

Teasing us with awesomeness again, you suck.  :P

I can't stop laughing at 'she looks like Bruce Lee'.

That is hilarious. She does look a little drag queenish, now that it's been mentioned.  Boylocke is what I'll call her.   ^_^

Cyclops ain't givin' her any type of action with that face. I think she'd be more to Iceman's liking....

I think the face is beautiful. Not many people realize this but Betsy is easily Beast's age and here she looks no older than 33 - which seems appropriate giving Kwannon was likely younger than Betsy at the time of the switch. I am incredibly sadden that we were given British Betsy for a few issues and again her true self be taken away but this skin makes it a little better.

I'm not really interested in this upcoming "event" but I like Cap's design for it...figured I'd skin it.

Necroposting, I know, but any chance you'll be releasing this version of Cap?

Outcast

Psylocke's face looks ok to me. She looks Asian though. Last time i checked, i think she was related to Captain Britain. So...not sure if that has recently changed....

Tomato

She was, but then she was killed and her soul was put into the body of a hot asian chick... or something.

AA, the problem I have (and I'd venture to guess it's the problem others in here are expressing) isn't that the face is "old" or whatever, it's that it's just not very much like Psylocke. Murs admits to patterning it after an Asian model rather then the actual character, and it shows through to the final result: It looks like a skin of a model, not a kick butt Asian character.

Awww, your ignorance on the character is cute..unlike Murs and his trollish FACE! and Darkstar and her trollish existence! *side eyes LP* Yeah, I know about her body switching shenanigans, sir. Now she's chilling in space, probably ded... again!
