Yes, there is a book made by the official garfield people using the strips from this site.  Jim Davis even made some original strips for it, which shows you what a good sport he is.

What's really said is that if Green Dam had gone into effect I woudln't be able to see any Garfield at all on the internet becuase his yellowness too closely resembles unclothed human flesh........go figure.
