I think Canada Day is a nicer name than "Dominion Day", which is was originally called. It's a bit ominous sounding, especially next to "Independence Day".

Ugh! I've lived in Ottawa for years and I still haven't been to the Hill for Canada Day. I've always been working or cooking barbecue!

You say it just like you would if you were talking in US American, only with more of an inflection on the last syllable in the sentence, so that it sounds more like you're asking a question?
