We were going to post these skins in our own threads...but figured this would be easier than jumping from thread to thread. Enjoy!

Oh come on, C6! I didn't even put an quarter as much detail work into my mine as you did your's.  :P

Courtnall6

Sorry AA...going up against you...I had to bring my "A" game! :D

It's true. Everyone gets two insanely well done Red Robins to play with.

Outcast

Tomato

I love the more clean, almost animated look of AA's... but yeah, C6's is insane. The ridiculous amount of detail on that chest mesmerizes me.

I'm glad you guys like them. Especially like your compliment Tomato. That is really the direct I've been moving in with my skins. Really simple and almost anime inspired (minus the stereotypical big eyes).

ghazkul

I really like them both, and actually think that each has something the other lacks in a way. AA's looks young, as Red Robin should, yet C6's is more detailed and because of that looks much older around the face.

I totally agree. It comes across as if each of you did the character at different age.

doctorchallenger

Both are excellent skins. But I have to say that I find the highlights on the forehead of C6's skin incredibly distracting, as if that layer was not fully blended with the other layers of the image. By the same token, I think that the eyes on AA's are too small.  This being said, I lookforwad to downloading both skins.

tommyboy

Two really nice skins and a really nice 'skope.
Kudos to all involved.
My one nagging doubt is the belts on the chest (and their little podule thingies). I sort of wish they were modeled in 3-d, but then I tend to like that sort of "fussy" 3-d detailing, which can be done very nicely through skinning alone.
It's just....well, you have a 3-d waist belt, and a 3-d buckle, it seems sort of inconsistent to have the other belts skinned on.
Of course, in-game, nobody would notice or care about that, but that's never stopped me before.
Anyway, good stuff,

Courtnall6

Glad to see the skins are a hit! Thanks for the comments.

I agree my skin does look older...probably because I keep thinking "Kingdom Come Dick Grayson" when I see Red Robin. :P

ghazkul

Ahhh Kingdom Come, well in that case it's perfect. Anymore KC inspired skins on the horizon?

I think C6 and I used different reference for the chest belt - http://i31.tinypic.com/am8h2u.jpg

Stunning work, both of you.

AA's version has a very slick, plastic-like quality to it that is really enticing. He looks like an action figure come to life.

C6's looks just like an Alex Ross painting, with strong, realistic details. The colors are more toned down, and the leather is really convincing.

I agree that the chest belts should probably be meshed, as Tommy said, but both of you did well with it being a flat texture. I think I prefer AA's more, though, just because the straight gold brackets look less distorted than the rounded ones. Also, I'm not sure what's up with the cape, but it doesn't really makes sense the way it points by Red Robin's elbows. Still, those are meshing concerns mostly.

Wow, being able to see how the two best skinners in the community approach design is really interesting!

You guys need to do this more often!

Blkcasanova247

I can't help it that I look so good baby! I'm just a love machine!

Podmark

I like them both alot. Good job guys.

I'm curious, which character to each of you see your skin as? Or did you do them with it being any of them in mind?

I started out as Tim Drake...but ended up as a mix of Tim Drake and Dick Grayson (more towards Grayson though :P).

Spectacular work, both of you!I know I'll have my hero file set to random skin for this guy!
Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier C6, Do you still need the reflections corrected on the mesh?

Ugh... These skins are fantastic, but i just dumped FFVT3R due to lack of room on a 25 gig hard drive. Well, time to find another place to put my FF stuff after i recover it all.

Simply tremendous work from you both...and really, how your work has evolved over the years for each of you is amazing to see.
