I found this REALLY LONG quiz about D&D characters ....if anyone's interested and has time to spare...well here's the link..

1. http://easydamus.com/character.html (long) (129 questions) :o
For those interested or curious to give this quiz a try, it also gives characters stats like Strength, Wisdom, etc.

It seems there's a second shorter quiz with almost identical possible results less the character stats.

2. http://www.zinious.com/dnd.php  (shorter quiz) (30+ questions)
Based on the results so far though. This quiz has a tendency to give dual classes.

But you could always skip the quizzes and just say what character you like to play the most... :)

Edit: Oh and sorry if i posted this in the wrong place.

My quiz/survey results:

1.True Neutral Human Druid (4th Level)
2. Lawful Neutral Half Elf Ranger Druid

Quiz two, since I have little time this morn...

Neutral Good Elf Ranger Bard  (Hee-hee)

Dana

Tawodi Osdi

I got mixed messages.

1) 6th level human Lawful good monk
2) Half-Elf Chaotic good paladin

BlueBard

I did the short one and got: Neutral Good Gnome Bard Ranger

A bit surprising but now that I think about it, it doesn't sound like a bad choice for me.

The longer quiz says: Lawful Good Human Cleric (5th Level)

Not so sure about that, but okay.  I definitely have lawful tendencies.

For instance, my lawful tendencies are questioning whether this belongs in the Fan Fic section.  Stuff like this usually winds up in General.

Thunder

Lawful Good Human Paladin

never would have picked that

Mr. Hamrick

I took the second quiz
True Neutral Human Thief Ranger

i agree with except I am not so sure about the ranger part.

Xenolith

Second Test
Neutral Good Gnome Bard Ranger

Not sure about the Bard part, but I guess I can live with the rest of it.  Maybe BlueBard and I can start a guild of Neutral good Gnome Bard Rangers?

Alaric

I tried doing the first quiz, but there were too many questions where none of the answers given really applied, so i just went for the second quiz.

Apparently, I'm a Chaotic Good Elf Ranger Bard, which sounds about right. Although, depending on how you look at it, either Lawful Good or Neutral Good would have been equally accurate.

I'm also wondering why this is in the fan-fic section, though...

Sounds like it's been a while since you played. Everything you said was the case when I first played PnP AD&D as a kid, but I am pretty sure the only thing on the list that still holds is that Paladins must be Lawful Good. At least that was the case as of the 3.0 rules (which corresponds to the descriptions the survey gives of the classes). I don't know what has changed since, but I doubt they have gone back to the "Gnomes can be illusionists, but not wizards" way of things.

BTW, most of the changes in race and alignment restrictions are for the better, IMHO. Why shouldn't a LG dwarf be a paladin, or why can't a LG cleric decide he wants to multiclass as a paladin and do some more direct smiting of evil? I think the added variety is good and it allows character history and role-playing options that more people can enjoy.

FWIW, I tried the long version.
  I Am A: True Neutral Human Wizard/Sorcerer (3rd/2nd Level)
Spoiler

Ability Scores:
Strength-15
Dexterity-14
Constitution-17
Intelligence-19
Wisdom-18
Charisma-15

Alignment:
True Neutral A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:
Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

Secondary Class:
Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Probably not far off in terms of class, though the details can be a little hard to reconcile. Like Alaric, I found many questions where no answer came close to my thinking on the subject. I get the feeling that some of the answers sort of got mushed together. E.g., the answers that reflect a tendency toward responsibility and doing the right thing for people got blended together with the answers reflecting a view that the law and established authority don't necessarily have much to do with what is right or worthwhile and resulted in True Neutral (whereas I would have thought that was more chaotic good). The survey's given description of TN doesn't really reflect me at all.

Also, "human"? I don't see that at all.  :P
