Okay, first up, is there a tutorial someone could point me at or could someone tell me how to transplant particle emitters?

Second, is there a tutorial for or could someone tell me how to change the texture that a mesh uses (if this is even possible).

Thanks.

Kenn

With the first part I've never done it.  I've added pieces to meshes that already had particle emitters, but I've never moved the emitters themselves.   I suspect it would involve moving both the actual emitter and the associated node.

When you say you want to change what texture a mesh uses, what do you mean - making a male_basic use male_belt or somesuch?

Actually, like having the headwings on Female Versatile reference something like "wings2". I would do the same thing on my Granny Goodness scope so she can have curls around her ears. I've Alpha Enabled the back wings on FV, and my intent is to do a Bleez scope. I just want the back wings different than the head wings, and at present, they reference the same TGA. I want to put the particle emmitters on the wings too so that they can seem to be made of fire. The Extras file for Storm Obese has room for the hair from The Black Queen, but not the curls around the ears. I've tried changing the name of the TGA on Granny to Extras2 with Nifscope, and adding a new TGA by that name, but that didn't work.

Maybe I should just stick to skinning... ;)

That sounds like it should have worked.  I've had copies of identical pieces and renamed the TGAs in the mesh and had altered copies of the TGAs with the same name work fine.

I've been attempting this too, DG.  I can't get it to work either.

I copied a couple of mesh pieces and placed them elsewhere on the mesh...I then tried to rename the part's texture so the parts wouldn't share the same appearance as the original copied piece, but it hasn't worked so far.

Hey guys.  If you are trying to just transfer particle emitters to a different mesh, it isn't too difficult.  I used the Human Torch to give the Absorbing man some fiery effects.

I don't know if I could explain it very well, but if you want me to try and attach them to a mesh for you, shoot me a PM and I'll do what I can.

Does this image exist somewhere else??? Looking for a guide to transfer particle emitters

I don't think I saved it from photobucket. It was simply a picture of Absorbing maaan with fire on the wrecking ball iirc.
