FR World has 2 meshes with shorts listed on their master Mesh List.

male_basic_shorts.zip = Interceptor

male_basic_shorts_glasses = Interceptor

They're listed as being found in Interceptor's yahoo group

After checking both meshes, they're not going to work, both have the shorts as part of the main mesh.

As for the Robot's suggestion of Gren's original Hogun mesh, I'll check that out and see what the kf's are like.

If I remember right, Renegade's Wing (Crimson Avenger's sidekick) mesh has shorts that are a separate piece.

The shorts don't quite fit the frog's body frame, I'll post a pic after a few more touch-ups.

Good call JKC!  CB, do you think the shorts can be tweaked to work?  If you have trouble with it, send it to me and I can mess around with it this weekend.  Sometimes having a second pair of (even much more inexperienced) eyes on a problem like that can help.  You're doing great work on these skopes man!

Let me reiterate the call for a skinner for these guys.  JKC very graciously took on the rock soldiers for us, and did a fantastic job with them, really going above and beyond the call of duty to provide a variety of skins.  I'll post some screenies soon-ish.  We still need a skinner for the Punk Frogs, though!

Seems a bit skinny he was more muscler in the toon and his hair and the bandages on his torso were yellow the ones on his face were green.

after reading this last night, i called cyber up. he's going through alot of personal issues right now, but he admits he 'might' of overrreacted. but he still wants to take a bit of a brake from the forums.

pod's skin is really nice, and i know cyber put alot of effort into the skope just trying to get things lined up properly.

after all of this, i went back and reread dan's posts, and i have to agree with cyber, some of your posts just come across as tho your nitpiking. for future reference, maybe you might want to consider how you word things in regards to others hard work.

I'm not sure why Cyber got upset I was talking about the skin. Which I didn't have a problem with it's just that he said it was based on the old show and I just pointed out some of the colors were different from the ones on the show. I think it's more usefull to give input on something than to simply say it's great.

Nah, man, pointing out stuff like bandage color on an otherwise amazing skope/skin like this really is pretty nitpicky.  Most of these game characters don't have perfect resemblances to the Fred Wolf cartoon, but have elements composed from various incarnations of the franchise.  And at the end of the day, it's the artist's right to make the character look however he or she wants.

A basic rule on giving "constructive criticism" is to make sure you point out the many positives before emphasizing the negatives... or in this case, your personal opinion as to how you would like a character to look.  Sometimes people just aren't in the mood for it.

Very well said Tommy.  Guys, constructive criticism is great.  Good feedback on mods, skopes, or skins is rare.  Dan's right insomuch as just saying "it's great" may not do tons of good.  However, we must always be mindful of the fact that pure text is a pretty limited medium.  You can't always get tone, and you can't always be 100% certain of context.  We can approach an innocuous piece of writing and erroneously attach malicious intentions to it.  At the same time, we can easily create text that isn't clear, unconsciously assuming that our intimate knowledge of our subject and intentions will be as clear for our readers as they are for ourselves. 

Whatever we do, in creating content, commenting on it, or even just enjoying it, we must keep in mind the fact that the people who have made this game immortal, folks like Pod, Cyber Burn, and Tommy all create things for this game, not because they have to, not because they're paid, but because they love the game, the subject matter, and this place.  They do it out of kindness and generosity, so we need to above all, remember to be grateful to the people who devote their time and energy to creating for this community.

the thing with cyber is that, and mind yuou, i've known him for years outside of the forums, he has no problem with constuctive critisism, and he really isn't interested in hearing "thats great" if its not, but when someone just says: "this is wrong, that is wrong, and this is wrong to", then there is no constructive critisism going on, and to him, he feels like its straight on bashing. and in dans case, he just picked the wrong day to do this. in the future, instead of sayig that this, that , and the other thing is wrong, maybe just suggest ways to improve. and i dont want to seem as tho i'm coming down on dan, and i'm sorry if it seems that way, but again, for future reference, just choose your words a little differently.

very well stated tommyboy. like i said in a previous post, cyber is goinng thru a lot of personal issues right now, and it wasnt going to take much to set him off. i dont want this to seem like anyone is singling you out dan, and if it came across that way, i'm sorry.  cyber considers the forums a second home, and really likes the peole here. i'm sure that once he works things out in real life, he'll be back.

I did not, and I could certainly use one:

Turtle Blimp: I think this may actually be possible!  I recently came across a mesh called "Gotham Police Blimp" which is about 90% of the way to being the Turtle Blimp already, it just needs the glider skoped onto it.  I would REALLY love to get my hands on this particular vehicle in order to punch up the one of my upcoming missions that will have a giant Krang terrorizing the city.

Also Winters, I went ahead and posted your covers in the TMNT mod thread.  I figured that might get a bit more traffic than our request thread, so hopefully you'll get more feedback.  As for feedback, I've already told you how much I like these, and already confessed my lack of artistic skill or insight as well, so I'm afraid I can't be as helpful as I'd like to be.  However, I did notice that Shredder's chin/faceplate might need to extend down a bit further in the bottom one.  The proportion in pictures I've seen seems to be about 1/3 eyes/face to 2/3rds mask.

I was super excited to see that Turtle Blimp (never thought I'd see the day!), but the Leatherhead WIP was a huge surprise.  Here's hoping somebody can hook you up for some Punk Frogs to setup some great Bayou swamp missions!

Howdy guys!  With the MA mod and the Pulp mod just about 100% finished, just gathering a last few characters in each, I thought I'd go ahead and start the ball rolling with my next project that I'm aiming to finish up and release.  I've already got a fully playable TMNT mod out, but I didn't quite finish the first story arc, and I've got several more that I'd really like to do.  Fortunately, thanks to the awesome aid of Daglob and SickAlice, I've actually got pretty much everything I need to tell several more stories.  There are other characters I'd still like to see made eventually, but I'm sitting pretty well, for the most part. 

There are two things I'd like to see, though, in order to add in a classic 'Turtles in space' arc, and to begin creating my own little version of the mythos. 

First, I'd like to see the Fugitoid made.  He's a scientist trapped in a robot's body, and I'd love to throw him in as a link between Krang, the Turtles, and the wider universe of Dimension X.  Plus, he's a great character in his own right, and I'd love to have him in my version of the Turtles.  He's got a fairly simple design.  I'm not sure what could serve as a base for him, but I feel like there is already something out there that would be pretty close.  I just can't quite place it.

Second, to provide some fun antagonists for the space arc, I'd love to see some Triceratons made.  This gets a bit tougher, though I think they could be skoped relatively easily.  I think maybe some of the spacemarine meshes might work as a good base.  Basically, they're humanoid triceratopses with sci-fi weaponry.

Cool CB!  That's not a huge problem for these two.  As long as the Triceraton looks more or less like a humanoid triceratops, that's really all that matters.  The Futuroid is a bit more distinctive, but there have been a few different versions of him, so still not a huge issue.
