What have you bought?.... what do you think of the prices?

Just thought it would be interesting to compare notes now that the store has been active for a few days:

I have Bought:
Beam Rifle Power set. The top of the woman's wedding dress.
It seemed weird to me to not have access to a power set in this game. So even though I don't have a toon in mind for the power set, I bought it. (I gotta admit the 20% sale swayed me)
The wedding dress top is just a great costume peice that I always wanted, but I could never bring myself to shell out for that booster.

I'm considering: The cape and aura unlocks. Account wide for 160 really does seem like a deal, but it's also a bit of an immersion breaker for me so I am on the fence.

I Think the prices are: Uneven. Some things, like the costume peices and auras, I find pretty reasonable. Others, like the account storage unlocks and costume slots, I found pretty pricey and down even a 20% off wouldn't make me shell out for them.

I had 1750 free points.

I bought: Beam Rifle , Hover board, the six sever transfer thing, and some minor costume pieces . I will probably blow some coin tonight, get time manipulation and the Barbarian set. Then its off to adventure with both of the kids for the first time!
PROTIP: If you?re going to build a robot that can think for itself and then make it do menial labor, don?t make it twice your size, indestructible, and strong enough to pick you up and use your body to beat your friends to death. Alas, such is ever the folly of man.

If you're still a subscriber, you won't need to buy the time set, BAD, it's free for VIP players.

As for me, I've bought nothing.  I will probably grab the Beam Rifle set just for the sale, but I won't actually use it for now.  I probably will get the barbarian set at some point.

I bought the beam rifle set for both accounts, backpack costume piece for both accounts, and barbarian costume set for one account.

For what I purchased, I thought the prices were on the high side of reasonable.  Some of the other 'junk' on there, that I have no intention of buying, seemed excessively high.

The_Baroness

I bought the beam power, backpack, barbarian set (How could i saw no to those lovely corset pieces?)

Also got a couple of costume slots, but those are very pricey.

Figure Fan

I plan to buy some extra character slots, costume piece odds and ends, time manipulation, and the controller archetype. Otherwise, I'm going F2P since my veteran rewards pretty much cover everything else.

BlueBard

When does F2P go live for unsubbed players?

Also, any advice on character conversion to free?  I'll probably never re-sub, but I'd like to keep some of them in case I ever do, if that's possible.

Raptor

I picked up Beam Rifle and the Ninja Run power.

I love the idea that you can pick and choose items that you wanted out of the previously-available add-on packs. I never bought any of the expansions because I'm too cheap to shell out money for something if there's only 1 item in the pack that I want. Now that I can pick up that one item and forgo the rest, I'm happy.  Plus, I have enough rewards saved up to not have pony up any extra cash.

I'm also thinking if picking up a Costume Change emote or 2.

I agree with Rain, it feels weird not automatically having access to a power set.  I was able to pick this one up from my rewards, but the next time around may be different.  That has me a little uneasy.

What do folks think of Beam Rifle?  I don't know that I would play it much, but by the same token I don't know what else I would spend my points on.

And Raptor, VIPs (subscribers) will get an allotment of points every month that would defray some of those costs.  Depending on how often new powers and etc become available you could probably get most of them for free anyway.

Hmmm... no points for me on my account... how did the process go again for points?  Maybe they wont appear until Tuesday.

You get 400 points for every months subscription starting in July.  If you are not a subscriber, you have to pay for them.  If you have a certain number of reward points (seven year vets will have this) then you will get 550 points a month instead, but again only on those months that you subscribe.

Anyone can buy them, of course.  400 points for 5 bucks, plus some bonus points if you buy larger bundles.

I believe you're supposed to get them on the same day as you pay for your subscription, but there have been glitches reported.

I bought the Time Manipulation power set, not yet sure what I think about it (only got to level 6 so far).

I also bought Shadowy Presence, but wish I hadn't.  You can't move???  How useful is that?

Shadowy presence is absolutely worthless.  I got it with my preorder along with a ton of actually fun stuff, so I don't care really.  Stinks that you ended up paying for it, but I doubt it was too expensive.

Time seems like a fairly cool set though.

The part I don't like is that Free players can't see the powers in the set before they buy it.

That said, I can say that Time Crawl REALLY slows down the bad guys.  Along with Gravity Control, I can pretty well lock down the bad guys HARD.
