Highlights: 2 more Incarnate Trials and new incarnate powers for everything but Lore.

The new powers are what interest me the most.  They are pretty limited at the moment.  Alpha in particular I would love more specialized options for.

The halloween costume parts look awesome!!  I'm disappointed I'm missing it.

Issue 21.5...not so much.

Yeah, the halloween bits are amazing.  They are up for a few weeks yet, so you may be able to snag those.

As for the 21.5 stuff, at least you should be able to make use of the new Alphas.  That's the part that I'm most interested in myself.

I hope I have time to snag those.  The tech said that they were ordering the part monday and it'll probably be in in 3 days....so I called today, and they said they'll order the part today :/  then 3-5 days for delivery.  The way it's going, it'll be at least a month...

Are the halloween costume parts account based or character based?   And how long does it take to get them?

The alpha stuff, one time through, was grindy enough (especially tier 4).  I have no desire to revisit that.

Account. They are a paid set . 400pp

Account based as far as I could tell. I picked them up as well as the CoT stuff cause I only play COX as a Dress-up Doll game. :D

There are two costume stuff you can get from the halloween trial, bats aura (which also comes as a bonus with the paid pack) and the murder of crows costume change emote.

Unfortunately the trial's not going to be up for very long.  A couple of weeks I think.  The pack is supposed to be available for longer.

EDIT:  Looks like you were right, Ephy, the new Incarnate abilities, including the alphas, are locked behind emp merits, requiring a HUGE amount to unlock just one on even one character---and they are apparently worse than the original ones.  The backlash against this has been considerable.

B A D

The way its currently slotted out in Beta even turns me off. Its absolutely ridiculous.

I can only play the game 2 nights a week. I refuse to spend my time in the D grinding out 15 emp's to grab a stupid power thats not all that great.

PROTIP: If you?re going to build a robot that can think for itself and then make it do menial labor, don?t make it twice your size, indestructible, and strong enough to pick you up and use your body to beat your friends to death. Alas, such is ever the folly of man.

Ephemeris

After reading up on the proposed reward changes, I find myself further distanced from incarnate reward stuff.  I will never be able attain the costume parts/emotes locked behind the rewards.  And yet again, two more trials and no small team team incarnate missions.

Most of the half issue seems to be bugfixes anyway, which are all most welcome.  The Incarnate stuff is unfortunately not good news, but the way the forums have just about exploded at the decision to charge 15 emps per toon per power for the new stuff leaves me hope they will reverse course.  The very fact that they even tried something like this is very unsettling.

Dunno.... I'm pretty much done with the incanate system anyways.
I understand why they are doing it... and agree with it....

but I really don't care.
Time Manip and Street Justice are just too much fun and I am enjoying the hell out of playing and levelling toons.

So really?
Meh.

Look the devs are on an assault against farming. Be that Farming the AE or Farming the BAF.

Good for them
It's about time.

I don't mind them reducing baf rewards necessarily.  I DO mind them charging a huge pile of emp merits if I want my MA toon to have a physical Judgement or my ele/ele robot to have an end mod based alpha.  That's insane.

This and I'm having fun with the alignment mishes on Una. But yeah, levelling has always been the fun part for me.

And they have now reversed both the 15 emp cost of the new powers and removal of the BAF/Lam awards.
