Transformers mod (FF) problem?

Hi all

I've been having some problems with the Transformers mod - not sure what I am doing wrong.

* In level 1, the main boss (Devastator) does not seem to register the damage that is reported on screen (his HP falls less - and sometimes not all - than the figures that appear on the screen during the melee in those white star shaped speech bubbles). You can beat him, but it takes forever.
* in level 2, the Decepticons surrounding the two generators taht I found did not respond at all to my team - they stood passively while I knocked them off, or attacked the generators. After the two generators were taken out, nothing happened, and I could not find a third generator anywhere.

Any ideas on what's going on?

Thanks
Gorky

I'm not sure of issue #2, but issue #1 sounds like he has an "invulnerability" attribute to him.

This means that the value of the invulnerability attribute is subtracted from whatever damage you do to him.

For example, if he has Invulnerability (05), then all attacks that do 5 damage or less will not hurt him. Any attack that does more than 5 damage will do 5 less damage- 6 will do 1, 7 will do 2, etc.

For issue 2, I'd suspect a scripting error. If you open script.log while the mission is still running, there might be one or more lines stating "Traceback (innermost last):" referring to code problems. If that's the case, you can post the content of script.log here. Other than fixing the code (if that's the actual issue), your best bet would be to restart the mission from the briefing.

Issue #1: thanks for explaining. It does indeed seem he has a 30 pt invulnerability attribute.

Issue #2: I restarted, and this time the enemies were now responsive.  Two more generators also appeared, and, when  destroyed, I was told to go the "entrance". But I couldn't find it.

There was one of those yellow arrows throughout, but it centred on somewhere in the void surrounding the play area.

I give up. Obviously not the game for me. ;)

Thanks everybody for the suggestions!

Did you check out the objective screen and pay attention to the dialogue? I played that mod a while back and didn't have any problems that I can remember.
