Skin Issues

I just recently started skinning and ran into some problems. Any custom skins made for the heroes in  (they're the only ones I've tried so far) have this glitch, but not the custom characters built into the game (action girl, capeman, etc.). So I make the skin in GIMP, then save it, then make the character in the game (selecting the custom skin, naturally) and it appears here as it should. Once I enter the rumble room, however, the character looks like the original character does. Even stranger, after deleting a skin I wasn't pleased with that also had this problem, I was shocked to see it appear in the character creation screen as I clicked thru minuteman's skins. Why is the game still finding this skin after I deleted it? and why doesn't the skin show up in the rumble room?

I've had this issue as well. I believe that if you convert your skins to (.DDS) format, it should be alright.

I suspected as much. How exactly does one do that?

I use Paint.Net which has a plug-in for it. There should also be a converter that you could download.
