how to create a mission to play with more than 4 player characters?

I am wondering if anyone can help. I am interested to know if there is any way to modify a mod to be able to have more than 4 player characters on a mission?

It is the game's design to only allow you to control 4 characters at a time. Now, with FFX, you can bring in more characters in certain situations and switch control between them via action commands, but you're never going to play as more than 4 characters simultaneously.
