Trying for a vxwasp. Just semi-successfully skoped vxfemale onto vxfly mesh by flagging the vxmale parts as hidden and copy/paste branch on the vxfemale parts onto vxfly. The problem is there is some distortion in the upper torso. Apparently, the vxfemale is being stretched over the vxmale mesh. Will resizing the vxfly upper torso to vxfemale porportions fix this problem? Has anyone ran into this before?

unfortunately i don't think that will fix your problem... the flight keyframes are made for a vx male skeleton,  so your character will distort to fit those keyframes.
What I suggest you do is find a female_basic compatible mesh with wings and flight animations, and add that skeleton to the vx_female mesh.  then you can combine the vx keyframes with the female_basic flying ones.

If you open up a few of my recent skopes in nifskope (like the catwoman or vision ones) you can see how both vx and non-vx keyframes are acceptable.

but then again... you could go into each bone of the basic vx_male shape and shift them to the right proportions...take a look at the recent discussions SickAlice was having about changing the neck shape for advice on how to do this.
