Two Blender/ Scoping Questions

Hi Folks,
I've been trying my hand at skoping & blender thanks to the tutorials here. I have hit two roadblocks and apologies for the heavy image content but I figured it would help if you can see what I'm doing.
One: The Tardis
I've purchased a model on Turbosquid and trying to make work in FFVTTR. I can get the grey shape to appear on Nifskope and character tool and in the game it also holds its shape but is white and I can't seem to get the texture to appear.

Two: The Fifth Doctor's Celery
I'm working with the Male Hunter Suit Mesh and would love to include the 5th Doctor's trademark celery lapel fixture but cant include within the jacket skin because of the mirroring. I tried converting Green Arrows feather into an object and attach via nifskope on the left upper arm node/block but even when I mirror the upper arm co-ordinates on editing, the feather is nowhere near the rest of the mesh.

Thanks in advance  :)

Just a couple of things to check.
One: The Tardis
It looks like there may be a problem with the branch layout in Nifskope. I apologize if it is set up correctly as I can't see all of the details in your screenshot.
I believe it should resemble this:
NiTriShape
  ->NiMaterialProperty   (It looks like your Material Property is on the same branch as your Source Texture and may be overriding it)
  ->NiTexturingProperty
       ->NiSourceTexture
  ->NiAlphaProperty
  ->NiTextureEffect
  ->NiSkinInstance

   I'm not sure if the last three branches are what you have, but they also need to be right underneath the NiTriShape branch. Right now it looks like they are underneath the Texturing Property branch. Also, if you do have a Texture Effect, don't forget to include an art file underneath it.

Two: The Fifth Doctor's Celery
I would advise attaching the piece to either the Bip01 Spine1 node or the Bip01 L Clavicle node. With the piece attached to the arm, it is going to move any time the arm moves and will go all over the place.

I hope this is of some help. Good luck and everything looks great.

That's great Hoss :thumbup: I've got somewhere with attaching the object to Doctor number 5, thanks for your help. I've still got more work to do but it's gotten me through the frustration barrier as this is something that doesn't come naturally to me.

Onto the Tardis next!

...and now with the TARDIS. This week i'm hoping to reskin in this years style to include a bit more input from me plus start figuring out keyframes. I know Dana's done some great work already but there's lots of Doctors so a few different Tardis' can't hurt  ;) Thanks again Hoss!

I had issues with the TARDIS I made (parts disappear during the animations)...So if yours is one solid mesh (and not made of many parts), you may be better off with the one you have.

Fan-freakin'-tastic! I'm so glad I was able to help. That thing looks really great. I know a lot of Dr. Who fans can cross the Tardis off of their wish list.

Thanks Dana & Hoss, I've been working on skinning it but I will keep the base skin by doodlemodels from Turbosquid also as an option because they did such a great job.

Just another question:
I'm trying to do key frames (a first for me) but I've tried copying from another mesh e.g. Ff flyer then separately ff tigot but they don't appear on ctool and the mesh appears in character selection but not in the mission.
I also tried skoping the mesh onto the ff flyer (from Dana's idea) but it doesn't link to the animations.

I've tried following the niftools and johnnypatches tutorial but I seem to be missing something. Does anyone have some suggestions 'for dummies' ?

Also Dana, it is a single solid mesh (I believe) and I'm happy to send through the nif file. I just thought I'd give it a go as well so I can better contribute to the community aside from skinning alone.

All good I re read the tutorials and got it attached to the Freedom Flyer fine!. I'll finish my skin and release ASAP.

Thanks for the suggestions and inspiration! :thumbup:
