FFvt3R Doesn't Run

Basically, my PC has been giving me grief for a while now, a long while now. This is just the next problem that I have seem to come across. Essentially, when I put my disk in, and press "Run", nothing happens. No loading, no running, no going black, no nothing. I'm really kind of hesitant to do a complete re-install if I don't have to (I don't want to take a chance of losing all my custom stuff), but I'm thinking that this is what it's going to come down to. But before I go that route, would anyone happen to have any ideas as to why a game just wouldn't run?

Without an error message, it's tough to tell what might be the issue. Does it go far enough that FF.err, FF.log, or script.log get updated? (That is, does the "Date modified" field on those files get set to the current date and time when you try to run the game?) If so, what do they have in them?

The re-installation isn't too painful in terms of preserving custom content. In essence, keep a copy of your custom content folders and copy them back after the re-installation. Unless the issue is in that custom content somewhere, it should work fine. In fact, when I re-install, I usually keep a copy of my whole FF/FFvT3R folder tree, just in case.

It looks like those files are all dated 2012, but when I get back to my computer, I'll try and run the game again and see if those have changed. Thank you for advice Stumpy.
