I looked through my files and couldn't find Hammer. I could have sworn someone had done him, but no dice.

Feel free to carry on with the enforcers RD. I look forward to what you come up with.

Thanks for looking

Well, I'll wait to see what Doc comes up with, then see if I need to work something up in CAS, with or without Cranlox's heads

Looking at another possible project, one 3d model format out there is W3d. It's used in the "Command and Conquer" games, as well as the "Battle for Middle Earth" games, which are the ones I'm interested in.

I wasn't able to get them imported correctly with Blender, but with some tinkering and head scratching, got them to import into GMax and out again as a nif.

For LotR characters, I couldn't find a lot available out on the web, though we here do have some created by RedBlackDeath/ Starlock, and some imports by detourne_me.

I should be able to get upgraded and missing characters rigged and into FF.

Battle for Middle Earth 1 and 2 are some classic LotR strategy games that came out about the same time as FFvt3R (2004 and 2006), so the graphic levels are similar.

Both have some patches and mods upgrading their graphics, so I'll be searching through those to see whats available.

Below are two pics of the first model I was able to import - Sam - the one on the left is from BfME1 enhanced with about 1200 polys, and the one on the right is the BfME2 model with 600 polys.

Not rigged yet. I'll be going with the one on the left.

Looking over the files between the 2 BfME games, the Witchking addon, and the unofficial mods, it look like just about everyone major from the LotR stories are available, based on their movie versions. Still looking at the different versions to see which are the better choices

The Fellowship - Gandalf the Grey and White, the four hobbits, Aragorn, Boromir, Legolas and Gimli.

Allies - Tom Bombadil, Eomer, Eowyn, Theoden, Elrond, Arwen, Galadrial, Ents, Eagles, generic elf, dwarf, Rohan and Gondor soldiers, wood elf king

Hobbit - Bilbo, Radagast, Dain, Bard, the dwarves,

Enemies - Saruman, Wormtongue, Gollum, Nazgul on foot, horse, or dragon, spiders, generic orc, goblin, warg units

Probably anyone else I hadn't thought of to look for.

I probably won't be doing the buildings/ bases, but I have a few ideas for some digital dioramas of some iconic scenes

Looking much better Cranlox

More time looking into the BfME games.

The models and skins from the base games just don't compare to the HD versions and mods, plus the mods add a lot of new characters from the Hobbit movies and some original content.

Below are 2 versions of Merry. The one on the left is from the enhanced BfME1 with about 1000 polys. The one on the right is from the "Age of the Ring" mod for BfME2 with about 1600 polys. The BfME1 version has a better cloak with a folded hood and a backpack on top of it, while the BfME2 version looks better overall and has a scabbard for the sword, so maybe a combination of the 2. The BfME2 version also had a complete set of armor on it that I stripped off, representing him in his Gondor outfit.

My wife actually like the lower poly version on the left

cranlox

I agree with your wife!
I have the other 2 villains heads to upload, I'll share them in a few minutes.

harrison head second version

There are some holes that were always made at the base of the hair at the height of the forehead, which ruins the model quite a bit. In addition to that, the neck was incorrectly textured due to the poor animation quality of a comic image with a moiré effect, I guess maybe something can be used for someone.
There is another version!

3rd version
This case came out perfectly textured, the neck should be cut or embedded lower than visible.

Coming along nicely Cranlox. Bronx was on my list to try to do.

A couple of quick ones before getting back to Middle Earth;

2 for Cranlox;

1) Bronx from Dizney's Gargoyles. High poly and not the easiest to rig but came out halfway decent. Rigged to Gren's DDwolf. Some strange bunching around the rib area when animated. In the "Dizney" folder

2) Rena Rouge from Miraculous. Comes with alt skins. Her flute was broken off as a separate item to work with if needed. Rigged to male_teen_12. In the "Others" folder

Now. back to some Hobbits and friends.

RommyNa

Sam from Lord of Ring? where did you upload it? The Bronx completes the group that was out on the boat, the detective, Goliath, Angela and Bronx. :D

Rena is also amazing thanks for the characters you share

Randomdays

Sam is not ready yet. Just starting on the LotR characters.

Until I get a little more inspiration, I'll try to move on to the other members a little.
I tried to put a bow on it but it didn't work out.

Thanks for Rena and Bronx, I captured the audio for the FX and added a keyframe that gives the idea that he attacks using the flute in the Power

Reminds me of Proctor from the Banshee series

Randomdays

It's great.

I wonder if I could re-rig it to a Wonder Woman mesh. As far as I know, a couple of her sets out there are the only ones with a lasso action to them.

I thought of a Vigilante, but he has the energy to walk as if he were wearing boots with spurs, and he plays the guitar when he is on hold, and he is also smaller in size.

First pack for LotR finished - a bunch of nasty little Hobbitses.

From LotR - Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin

From the Hobbit - Bilbo

From both - Gollum

All the Hobbits are rigged to a stripped down version of Gren's Taskmaster with only the sword left.

Bilbo and Frodo have Sting, and Sam, Merry, and Pippin have their swords of the Westerness.

Gollum is rigged to TJ's Toad.

I scaled them all to 60% of base size, but adjust if it didn't work or you want them taller or shorter.

Bilbo, Frodo, and Gollum have an alternate "ring" version with alpha turned on for stealth.

I think all the models and skins are by modder Mathijs from mods for the "Battle for Middle Earth" 1 and 2 strategy games. Both games and their mods are based off of the movie versions of the characters.

I think Gollum is from the BfME2 base game.

The first 2, Bilbo and Merry, took me a while to figure out, but the rest are either similar enough to them, or low poly enough, that they went pretty quickly.

All for FFvt3R only.

Uploaded to the new Middle Earth folder.

Ox finished with some problems, I used the Texas Jack Sandman model and in some movements the hands disappear, in theory it shouldn't be a significant problem if you use the other movements, but if someone knows how to fix it or could change to a compatible keyframe it would be even better.

I liked those Lord of the Rings characters, my brother-in-law, who just had a birthday today, has all of them (except Bilbo) in action figures.

working in Fancy Dan

Randomdays

Thanks for your work Cranlox.

Tommyboy has an Ox on his own mesh. maybe that. The other Ox is on a male heavy.

For LotR, stated work on the rest of the Fellowship - Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Boromir, and Gimli.

Aragorn was a bit confusing as it was 3 meshes on top of each other, slightly different, one for each of the 3 movies.

I'll probably only do one.

For Gandalf, I have the Grey version, the White version, and the White version on Shadowfax the horse. I might try to put Gandalf, white and/ or Grey, on a Giant Eagle.

DoctorRuina

The second Jimmy Woo looks better.
This Montana looks great, cranlox. We could try to put the keyframes for the lariat. The mesh of Vigilante could serve.
And a great work with the LOTR meshes.

RommyNa

You could make Tinker Bell and her fairy friends, it would be nice to see them

Very nice Frodo Team

BentonGrey

These are all coming along really nicely!  Bronx!

Great job on those Cranlox! I'll try to look at the lariat for Montana and the hands problem on Ox if no one else does, once I finish up the LotR set I'm working on.

It's much appreciated knocking those of the list.
