Costume Rating 32: Agent Venom

Eventually Mac Gargan was caught and the symbiote was removed (he went on to be Scorpion again). The government then decided to use the symbiote to create the ultimate agent and choose war hero and recent amputee (and Peter Parker's friend and former bully) Eugene "Flash" Thompson to become Agent Venom. Here's his design:

Flash is still fighting the good fight, currently as the Avenger liaison to the Guardians of the Galaxy.
So what do you think?

While I don't love it, it seems a bit over the top, I do kind of like it. I went with a 4, but would probably give a streamlined version a 5.

4- It's decent. It's got some unique elements, and while it might need a bit of streamlining, I've seen far worse.

5. I like this one a lot. It's such an interesting concept too and definitely new among Venom hosts. Very unique and cool.

5. I'm a huge fan of Agent Venom, and that may have skewed my vote more than usual but it's a really great design, a nice half way point between Venom and Spider-Man with a heavy helping of military elements. It can be kinda bulky though.

When Marvel set up Flash as the new Venom I was totally on board with the idea. I've never been completely satisfied with the stories but I like the concept of Spider-Man's greatest fan getting a real chance to become his hero. And the military aspect helps set him apart from other Spider characters.

5: Way back when this concept was first talked about on these boards (because, of course, I haven't read any modern Marvel books in...ever.), I thought it was a really awesome idea!  The design is really cool, being a perfect marriage of the different elements that make up the character, and while I agree it could be streamlined a bit, the final result is really cool looking.  I've always liked the idea and the (visual) execution.  I've never read the stories, as they're set in a world that no longer holds any magic for me, but if you could pull the idea out of its context of bad stories and terrible continuity, it's exactly the kind of character development and change that I'd love to see comics do more of.   I LOVE the idea of Flash Thompson having such a transformative experience and becoming Venom for the greater good.  What a fantastic use of a classic character.

I loved Remender's run on Agent Venom and have enjoyed Flash as Venom. While the look makes perfect sense, I still find it out and silly looking. I'd give it a 3, but that side texture just kills it for me. 2 it is.
