Project EF-12 and others

I'm finally getting around to trying (putzing more, my FFVTTR stuff takes priority of course) Project EF-12. It's a customizable 3d fighting game engine in the spirit of MUGEN. I'm giving it low marks out of the package though this seems to be because little has been deved for it. The concept itself seems to have active users but really be bordering abandonware at this point, sadly since it has tons of potential. Has anyone else given this a shot. Also and if so are some of the other moddable 3d fighters (PC) the better way and in what order would they rate, noting in a search UFE but stated to be underdeveloped in comparison as well I see pretty strong communities for the PC versions of Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter X Tekken (Smash Bros. is notably a very ripe modding community though of course system dependent, maybe if I finally pick up a Wii U). Oh and I hope you are all doing well lately.
