Does anyone have Marvel Masterworks: The Inhumans volume 1? I am doing some academic research, and I have uncovered that Medusa's appearance in Marvel Superheroes #15 (1968) was potentially developed to launch a Medusa solo series, as part of the Marvel's 1968 expansion. I have read that the text Introduction confirms this. I would really appreciate if anyone has Marvel Masterworks: The Inhumans volume 1, if he/she could 1) confirm this story, and 2) send me scans of the text piece so I can refer to it in my research. THANKS!

Academic research on the Inhumans?  Fascinating!  Color me intrigued.  :D

I'm afraid I don't have the book, but hopefully someone on FR does.  If not, I would recommend checking out your school's library.  Chances are they can ILL it for you.

I hadn't ever heard of that before, though I know Kirby worked hard to develop the Inhumans themselves as a stand-alone feature.  I know that he created the material that would show up in backups as a new book, but that idea was repeatedly nixed, so the stories were chopped up to make backups, which made him really unhappy.
