Hi,

I downloaded a few meshes/skins from Heroforce but when I use some specific ones in the character tool it crashes. The meshes are maggott2 and MagnetoV3 from Ink. Please can anyone help??

Thanks.

Please provide which character tool you are using FF1 or FFvtTR. Inks meshes all work with FF1 but may require converting for FFvtTR.

I have tried with both tools and get the same results. Some of the meshes are working with character tool 2 but not those particular meshes. P

Hi,

Converting the .nif file worked to get the mesh/skin to appear in the character tool. Thanks for that. The new issue I now have is that if I change any colour of the skin with photoshop that part of the skin comes up in bright pink on the character tool. Any advice please?

That is usually caused by missing .glow or .refl files. in the skins folder. Or those files not being set to the same size (512 x 512 for example) as the basic skin. If you open them in an editor you can check size. If they are missing, you can copy them from another skin.

Also. I am curious about maggott2. I have Ink's maggot mesh, but haven't seen a maggott2.

Thanks for your help WF. I figured it out. The pink was caused by me opening the skins in Photoshop first instead of copying the skin within the character tool and editing from there.

The 2nd Maggott skin that I found was with him wearing a variation of the blue/gold x-men costume. The mesh was created by Ink but the skin was created by Billdamn22 according to the readme.

Its been almost 20 years since I last did any modding and I am now trying to get my son into it. I may have the odd question here and there while I am refamiliarising myself with it. Bear with me!
