Memory glitch?

Hello I have 4g of direct ram in physical memory and 4g of virtual memory of the hard disk.
Even so, now my FreedomReborn vs 3Reich game gives me the message:

alert CFastheap::allocate failed, out of main memory

Does anyone have an idea what's going on?

From what I read of a previous case with a Benton Mod it happened to a certain Kevin but I restart it and that's it.

I'm not having the same luck.
The problem persists, unless I remove several of the custom characters. Is that the problem?
How many active characters are allowed to have at most?

It is a Freedom Force addon.

For some reason its not letting me put the link in here to get it. If you google ffx 3.3 freedom force it will be the first link.

Hello, installing the ffx can I lose the fx that I have configured in the game and the characters already configured?

Thank you for helping.

It's the first on this site right?

You shouldnt lose anything. It will add options like new attributes and AIs to choose from when making custom heroes/mods. Yes the first one, 3.3.

Cranlox, is this happening in a mod or in your regular game?

From what I've read in the previous mentions of this in the forums, it seems to be either A) too many herofiles and custom meshes and the like, or B ) corrupted .dat files.  Given how much memory you've got, it's probably the latter.  So, the way to fix the corrupted .dats is to reinstall whatever it is you're using.  If you have modified that mod, you don't have to worry about losing everything you've done, at least not necessarily.

What I'd suggest is backing up the .dats, then reinstalling.  If that fixes the issue, at least you know where you need to start.  Then, if you want to save your modifications, use FFEdit to copy from the original .dats to the new .dats.  If you're not familiar with that process, I'll walk you through it.  Make sure you've backed everything up, of course.

Thanks Benton, if it seems that the main issue is that 2 characters were damaged, basically skins that looked damaged even with the image file.
Also joined the reality that if I have too many herofiles. If the withdrawals only leave around 200 characters to choose from the game runs stable.

I guess putting almost a thousand characters on it was a bit excessive.

Thank you for your predisposition. Since you are the eminence of the mods, is there a way to keep a copy of the configuration of how I have the characters configured so that I do not lose them when I go to another pc or that I do not have to redo all the configuration of arming their hits and attributes ?

I hope you understand

Glad you sorted out, Cranlox!

I'm not quite sure I understand the question.  Do you mean, like, the .dat files, or the Herofiles?  Either way, what I do between my desktop and laptop is use a syncing program to automatically update and copy over files when I make a change in one location.  I have used Goodsync for years, which used to be fantastic, but they recently went to a subscription service, so I can't recommend them anymore.
