I've got 10 different version of Bane, but none are the movie version.

Static is actually on Tommyboy's site off of freedomforce4ever.

For Sailor Scouts, I have Sailor Mars and Sailor Venus by Juancho, though I'm pretty sure there's others out there.

There are some very low poly models here, but they would have to be imported; https://www.models-resource.com/pc_computer/3dadventuresofsailormoon/

There's also some models on sketchfab and deviantart and other places;

Thanks for the info and help,

Would you happen to know if there are any base meshes that have these hair styles? A female one with pigtails and a male one with short curly hair?

Randomdays

I can't think of anything right off for a curly haired male

For something like Sailor Moon hair, there's not a lot out there since her hair is pretty unique. An import would probably be best.

I did make one with pigtails for Kommando last year for a project he was working on. The 2 bases are in my requests folder.

Thanks so much! I am going to use it to try to make a skin of Jenny Wakeman from My Life as a Teenage Robot. Thanks for being so helpful, RandomDays!

Randomdays

Looking forward to seeing it. She should be a good start for you to work with since she has simple features.

That should work well for a base then. Remove the cape of course. The forlock and the belt perhaps.

I don't think anyone has ever done her for the FF games, though there are some 3d models out there.

cranlox

I've never seen that animated series, but I do know that there are several models in various places, basically I think that it is as complex as Bender or Inspector Gadjet, it would require the same or more work than Geneator Rex.
Far from my knowledge but even without knowing it, it seems like an interesting character if someone develops it I would download it immediately.

Maybe you can do something simpler like replacing the parts and making different versions of the same character.

I think they cover all her accessories and transformations here from what little I recently saw on YouTube about her.

Thanks I am excited to try and make her! :) Another one I want to try is Steven Universe, which is why I was wondering about the curly hair.

An imported model is definitely possible, but I think that doing a skin would be good here as it gives him some practice skinning, and it makes the character his and something to be proud of.

At this point, I think doing an import of the character should be avoided unless he wants to try doing that as well.

Yeah I want to try my hand at skinning first and then maybe later on try importing.

Here she is so far... what do you think?

The skin is not bad, though I'm no expert on making them. A good character to start with.

Three comments;

1) Not your fault since you're limited by the model, but her having breasts and a nose while the character doesn't, takes away from the look

2) If you can, do the eyes over to give her the huge "wide"eyed look that the original has, bringing them down to almost the mouth. I think this would help a lot.

3) Take a look at Tommyboy's Phantom Girl 2 in his DC area. She's one of the characters that has skoped pant legs on. Added properly, this might make your character look better.

Still, a good start.

cranlox

It's a great version within your initial capabilities according to what you say! Far above what could be expected! Congratulations! My first skins were much less good!
So go ahead! Congratulations and now experiment with it in everything you can think of to improve it, it even has a very unique style that gives a certain terror that if it were a real action character it should initially give. I say at least without knowing the character and understanding that she is an android that can take blades out of her hands hehe

adventuretrav90

Thank you very much to both of you I am going to try your suggestions! I am glad I did a good job!

deanjo2000

If you look at sickalices's site in the promotions forum you'll probably find a better fit for her model. I don't know the character but I'd use just a sphere for the head and draw the features. When I was learning to skin I looked at a lot of others work just to see how they did things and what went where. Sometimes you can just photoshop certain bits into place and it works. Trust me eventually things will start to click and your skills will improve. Good luck and I hope to see more from you.

Thank you deanjo2000 thanks for the luck and hope :) I appreciate the suggestions! I hope I will make some cool characters for you all to see.

I updated her with a new face.

also started American Dragon: Jake Long

just need to figure out how to add wings, haha.

Randomdays

There is a "male_draconus" model with wings. I don't know if you could skope those on or not.

Jenny looks improved and Jake isn't bad.

skoping new pieces on can improve the looks of your characters a lot.

I consider Dean on the best skinners/ skopers around, and his advice is always good.

For some reason the mesh I used for Jake doesn't have keyframes. I am not sure how to get some that will work for him.

Randomdays

Many meshes didn't come with keyframes when the game first came out to make the zip smaller. At the time, a lot of people were on dialup modems, and hard drives were a lot smaller.

Check the readme in the zip if it has one and see what it says. IF not, try using one from male_basic.

And if none of that helps, let us know the name of the skope used. I'm sure someone here has keyframes that will work for it.

adventuretrav90

Aha, I found it! It was on the same page of the site where I got the mesh, it was just with the base mesh that was used to make the other mesh.., glad I found it. Looking at the readme helped.

DoctorRuina

I've found a mesh named Dragonlord which might work for American Dragon. I don't know who is the author

adventuretrav90

DoctorRuina thanks for posting those!

DoctorRuina

You are welcome! I think Dragonlord could do a good American Dragon. If you want, I can help you do it.

cranlox

It would be ideal to include the monstrous nightmare from How to Train Your Dragon/Berk Dragons (DreamWorks) because it has the exact movements for the wing attack and when it hits with its hands quickly. Very good dragons.
