Artistic Challenge 28: Character Team-Ups! - Latest Art: Unkoman

This is a new challenge based on the idea put forth by one of our regular participants, Unkoman.  Thanks for the great idea!

CHARACTER TEAM-UPS

The concept is pretty simple:
Each participant signs up by giving a very brief character description.  Things like, "Super strong robot from the future" or "A bitter man, cursed to roam the world for eternity" are good examples of this simple description.  Avoid too many specifics.  Gender pronouns don't mean anything. (The artist has the right to choose.)  Sometimes there is a desire to nominate "mort-types".  Let's try to avoid that if possible.

Each participant's assignment is to pick at least two of the descriptions to create their image.  The characters can be opposing each other or part of the same team.  Make them heroes or villains.  It's your choice.
Character and/or team bios are encouraged, but not required.  Let's have some fun!

On May 1st, I will compile a list of the "valid" descriptions (editing if necessary).  You can you can start posting your art anytime after that.
Start posting as soon as your image is done.  If you want your character description included in this challenge, you need to sign up before May 1st.  After that, anyone can participate (without signing up) by creating an image featuring two or more of the characters.

Rules: (Newish stuff in bold)
1) Virtually any style--  Drawing, painting, CG, sculpture, sprites, action figures/dioramas, etc.
2) It must be your art.  No reposting or plagiarizing other people's art.  "Bases" are ok.  Obviously it's an honor system, but you don't wanna get called out on it and end up ruining it for others.  "Dollmakers" like Heromachine and City of Heroes/Villains aren't allowed however.
3) You can post a skin/model from Freedom Force, but your image has to be more than just a model viewer shot.  Put them in a situation or something to make it interesting.  Post the skin in the Skins section and post your picture here.
4) Although technically not a work in progress thread, it's ok to make one in-progress post and then your final.  You can also create a new thread featuring your work in progress and link to it.  I just don't want other artist's work buried under repeated postings of your progress.
5) Forum rules still govern subject matter.

Remember this is open to artists of all levels and all styles!  It doesn't matter if you draw like a professional or like a two year-old.  The point is to have fun!

They thought they got rid of him when they burned the tiny pieces of him that came out the other end of the tigers.

They were wrong.

Last week, he knew a life of luxury and privilege. Today, he knows only hunger... hunger for fish.

A renegade agent of a corrupt zoning committee, she metes out justice to all who build in the wrong part of her town.

Trapped in a twisted body created by dark and terrible magic, he only wants to be left alone to enjoy the puzzles he loves so dearly.

The system failed her, but I won't. I'll get her out of there if it's the last thing I do. But, ONLY if it's the last thing. I probably won't bother otherwise.

A few people have written multiple character descriptions. How are we going to deal with this? Choose our favourite from the lot, or will you simply pick one at random, Pyro?

Technically, since everybody's picking two people, shouldn't everybody be suggesting at least two?

I'm just including ONE description from each participant in the final list.
Participants will pick AT LEAST TWO characters from that list to use in their picture.
The intention is to have crossover in the choices since people are picking two from a shallow pool instead of it being randomized.  :)
The original idea as it was proposed was that each participant would draw each of the character descriptions into a "team".  That was eased up to just require at least two characters, and not necessarily be a team, just interacting somehow.  However, people aren't limited to just two, so it could still be a team shot.  ;)

Note:
They should be descriptions, and not just motivations or origins.  And no "morts" either.  :thumbdown:

I know you only want one but here's two anyway! :P

Since I couldn't come up with a good discription I picked some from seventh sanctum.

The polite bandit who works as an assasin against the forces of darkness and who leads a band of merry men.

The policeman with the ability to survive and who has a dark and mysterious past.

No. 3 :P

The annoying screw-up sidekick who wants to destroy the world due to emotional issues and who has a huge appetite.

Here is the list of character descriptions you can use for your image:

Currently I'm planning a villain group.  3 and 4 are definitely in, and hopefully with time I can others.

Instead of telling my plans, I will just show my picture.



This is my pulp inspired team. People call them The Defenders, although they don't refer to themselves as such.

Their membership:
Finnegan McClaine. Due to his diminitive stature, Irish heritage, and immense wealth, Finny has aquired the nickname "The Leprechaun" much to his chagrin. Still, his blood runs true, and he's got a temper as big as his heart.
Lance "Lucky" Becket. A police detective, he seems to be able to get out of any situation, thus the nickname. Everybody assumes that somebody up there must just like him. Little do they know the dark deals he's made for his uncanny luck.
Trog. Leader of an ancient nomadic race, he was frozen during the great storms. Unthawed during an expidition years later, by Finny himself, Trog was taught the ways of the modern world.
Joe Tin. A mysterious mechanical man. Discovered in a warehouse by Finny, he was activated. Seemingly self aware, Joe desperately wants to find the reason he was created, so he can at last live in peace. Until that day, however, he will throw in his hand whenever he is needed.

They happen to be fighting an ancient demon in this picture. The Neg'Thuu. It's a lesser demon, created by the warped bodies of those who succumb to its dark puzzle boxes, scattered throughout the world. At this point in time, it is rather low on power, and quite miniscule in compairison to what it can become.

Will our heroes manage to defeat it, at least for the time being? Tune in next... no wait. Actually just make it up.
