What's the deal with these things?  I've seen them in the store but never took interest in them.  Now that my son's old enough to not eat these things, I've decided they might make a nice birthday present...that is until I looked them up on ebay.  These things are going for a premium!  And the sellers have some fairly unreasonable shipping rates and ridiculous terms (one seller requires you to notify him within one day of winning and pay for all items prior to winning any other auctions).  And most aren't even combining shipments even on loose figures.  Are these things really that hot of a commodity?

The Hitman

I think they're neat, but honstly would never PAY for them. But I guess they're pretty popular. I mean, they have their own cartoon show and stuff.

I think that's just people being jerks on eBay.

I remember win toys were priced that kids could afford to play with them.  Now, toys are collector's items, and they are so expensive that they should be hid behind glass cases.

Seriously.  Just when did a hunk of PVC become $5 a pop.  I was thinking they'd be more like something you'd get out of gumball machine for a couple of quarters.

And no joke about jerks on ebay.  Not sure why anyone would buy some of these price gouged items with shipping charges bordering on fraud.  I was just hoping to find like a bulk lot of loose Superhero Squad toys for the little guy...made out like a bandit buying Hero Clix that way.
