Tomato

so, this might be my last post (unless I get on again between now and 10:30am when I leave) and so I make a humble request.

My friends and cohorts, I ask only one thing of you. Amidst the realm of insanity and bizarreness, there is one among you who is still somewhat sane. I had dedicated myself to railing against this, but it seems I do not have time. So I ask that you take up the battle in my stead.

Drive. Premonitioner/Previsionary. insane.

Murs and TUE should already have a plan of attack by now. follow their lead.

So, I graduated BMT officially last thursday, enjoying Base Lib right now as well as my new cell phone (internet=yayz!) About to check out youtube as well... and yeah, that's about all I have until I have the ability to use my laptop. For those wondering, I ended up as a medical lab tech... how I don't know, but whatever. Our government at work and all that.

deano_ue

congrats mate glad your keeping well

Until you get your laptop running, base library should have computers you can use with connection.  Better than nonthing.

*looks up where you tech school should be*

:o

You didn't end up at Sheppard, did you?  You poor sod.  Not sure if it's better than staying at Lackland or not.  How long are you supposed to be there?

98 days I believe... roughly 3-4 months

If you can get transportation, there's good eatin' not too far from the base.  There's a Whataburger just down the road from one of the gates, a Popeyes a little further out, I can't remember the name of the place but it had the *best* BBQ I've ever had (and they used to have an all-you-can-eat ribs night), and so on, and so on.  I was only there for a month, and it was almost 10 years ago, so I can't tell you much about the base in particular.  I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about the AF in general, so feel free to PM or email me.

Hey, if you can get your hands on...um...discarded body parts, I know a guy that will pay good money for 'em.

I know I said it before, but again... congratulations, good luck, and stay safe.

It's people like you, Tomato, that keep this country safe. Thank you for your service.

It may sound silly, but have you ever though about starting a blog about you experience?  Just a though

I would, but at the moment my "experiences" consist entirely of doing details all day (sweeping the same spot from 7:00AM to 4:00PM =/= fun) then running around trying to get everything else done.

And also, I might need you to kill someone for me... I WAS going to get some much needed work done online then run down and see Iron Man 2 at 7:00 (7:07 now) but some jerk had me walk 20 minutes back to the medical dorm to go to a meeting that had been canceled earlier that day, which cost me about an hour of time I could have been getting stuff finished to go see Iron Man.

Oh well, hopefully tomorrow I'll get to watch it without worrying about getting back before curfew.

So, apparently I've had a broken foot for like, two weeks now without realizing it. So now I'm stuck with a special shoe and crutches... and to think, I only went to get medication for foot fungus.

Interesting... a friend of my brother's had the same thing happen to him in boot camp.
