Having read the issue now, I can honestly say you rocked it, Ink. And, as with quite a few magic based characters, I'm really intrigued by Black Alice.

Just thought you'd be interested in seeing what a review site said about your art:

Comments: I'm not sure why cover artist Daniel Luvisi chopped up Alice's body and set her severed torso atop her disjointed legs, but the biggest black tutu in the world isn't enough to cover up the feeling that something's gone very wrong with her body. An odalisque she is not in this example of photo-reference gone horribly wrong.

But Nguyen fares much better inside, capturing clear personalities for Cat and Shot out of their costumes (but no less deadly, of course, as these two alpha dudes have made self-confidence their defining trait). Nguyen also has fun with Alice's powers, as we see Phantom Stranger Alice, Blue Demon Alice, and even Silver Banshee Alice at one point. She's a powerhouse who steals any magic she likes, but Simone makes it clear that she's also undisciplined and deeply in need of guidance. That no one sees that so well as Bane is one of Simone's insights into these DC-underside characters. Bane's simple respect for "Child Alice" as she makes a typically brutal, reckless life choice is the one thing that could have reached her, and stop her from attacking the team.

Must be quite the confidence booster to know you're getting quite the nice grade on your pencils.

Was busy with school work the last couple weeks but finally got caught up with my comics this weekend. Was impressed with your Secret Six work Ink, but there was some things I saw that I think you can work on. I'll try to do some scans of specific things sometime this week, but the general thing was to watch your anatomy. You've got a bit of funky style and that's cool, I like it, but there was some shots that looked really awkward. But there was also alot of really great shots too, including a close up of Catman that I really loved.

So I'll get back to you on that. So have you locked up another issue somewhere yet? Or are you still waiting.

Sorry to hear that, I know what it's like when there are many people with the same name in comics.
My late uncle's name was Erik Larson, and he was a penciller too, did a little mainstream stuff (like Animal Man covers - after Morrison's years) but he eventually moved to Europe to pursue his art.

I drew each of 7 titans based on the orginal seven justice league member.

The only one that doesn't have a counter part is green lantern with green lantern kid.

So beast boy is most green


I am still trying to figure out a background for everything. Any ideas?

Really great work! Especially Cassie...I luv her in the Wonder-Armor. I'd probably put the "Hall of Justice" instead of "Titans Tower". The only thing that I'll say is that Miss Martian needs "a little love". Maybe make her a little more prominent...she looks a slightly thrown in.

Black Alice i really liked to drawing in the  secret six issue i did so i thought i tackle the other "sister"

I plan to color this and i guess clean up in photoshop.So i thought i post the pencils for any last min crits! lol hack away folks.

I feel strange because I cant stop looking at the telegraph pole, and the way you've rendered it with the sahding blending into a flat white area, in classic American Illustrator style as aped by Neal Adamas and Bill Sienkiewicz.

The foreground figures are well done too. Nice band-aid. Nice facial expressions.
