So, barring some last minute BS about some paperwork I need to hand in that no one bothered to give me, I should finally be finishing my outprocessing from wright patterson air force base ohio or, as I lovingly refer to it, HELL ON EARTH. As of this afternoon, I will once again be an ordinary citizen of the USA. It is a glorious happy day.

Now, I can see some of you shaking your heads confused at me. The last time I talked about this was months ago, when I received an article 15 and was still trying desperately to stay in. What happened in the intern?

Firstly, Legal came back and told my first shirt (the yahoo at fault for this whole mess who thank god isn't the first shirt anymore) that trying to kick me out over a room inspection was, shockingly, more than a little insane. So I got demoted and half my taken for two months while he once again set up a room inspection to get me kicked out, this time by a first shirt not him! Now, you would think this would be more fair, but in order to keep egg from being on everyones faces, I was doomed from the start. Unable to get me on actual room inspection guidelines (bed made, stuff organized, etc) BS was made out shopping bags under my sink, dust on my ceiling fan, and a bit of grime in my bathroom. No, I'm not kidding, the "garbage under the sink" was the major note of the inspection.

Shockingly though, I no longer give a monkey's tucas. I really don't. Yeah, I resent the fact that these hippo hos have vindictively gone after me and gotten away with the total obliteration of my career, despite me doing everything I was supposed to do for my actual job. But I've already pleaded, ranted, and generally stressed myself out to the point I sank into near suicidal depression. These chickenliver codfishes aren't worth that, and I refuse to sink to their petty level just to get in a few last minute swings as I head out the door.

But as of today, it's done. I have to deal with a few last minute pieces of BS, but by this time tomorrow I'll be home and away from this insanity.

That's quite the story, 'Mato. I'm just glad that you can see the bright side to all this & are finding happiness.

On the plus side, you now have years of lethal training and a grievance against the government, so you're well on your way to being a supervillain.

As your next step, I'd suggest practicing shouting "FOOLS!" in a dark room. It's important to get just the right inflection on it.
I do not hold grudges against those who argue with me. If you disagree with me, it can only be because I have not made the correct understanding clear to you. Thus, your ignorance is my fault, not yours.

Let us work together to correct it.

Amazo Version 2.2

best of luck on whever you go from here.
For anyone, and everyone, who has ever done anything to improve the FF/FFvs3R gaming experience, I want to say thank you. Life is so short, and you have all brought me so much joy. I hope that one day, I am somehow able to return the kindness and generosity that all of you have shown.

... or a superhero.

Tomato, when I read (in your earlier thread) that you were coming to peace with the idea that this just wasn't the career for you, it was good to see that you were ready to move on. Despite the potholes, this looks like the next stretch of that road. Glad you are on your way.

You made your bunk in an intern? *shudder*  I don't want to know what happened in that poor soul...

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles with your superiors, 'Mato (I wish I could mockingly call them "petty officers"; however, the rank would be inappropriately applied to that branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.).  It sounds as if they were too busy playing king of the anthill to engage with you on a human level.  Here's hoping your future is not beset by similar insects.  Good luck!

"This Tomato... has gone BAD!"

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Tomato, I am sorry it eventually came to this, but I'm sure you will be happier in the long run.  What are you planning to do with yourself once this is officially over?

I'm going to start studying right away for my MLT certification so I can get a lab job, but in the meantime some hospitals in my home area are supposedly hiring phlebotomists, and that's pretty much what I've been doing the entire time this nonsense has gone on.

Glad to hear that you've got some options open 'Mato. Good luck.

Hey man, like the others have said, I know it was really ugly getting to this point, and while I'm sorry for that and the fact that even your exit couldn't be drama free, I'm glad to hear that you're finally able to put it all behind you.  Good luck on the job search!

Ohh, and I'd advise adding "I will destroy you all!" to that "Fools!" shouting practice.

Hey, at least you can find quite a few jobs now becuase most places will hire former military right away no matter why you were discharged/left/ect, especially the security sector.

And also add, "You Shall Suffer!!!" to the shouting practive too.

Personally, I've always been partial to "FOR PONY!" as a battle cry, but that's for other reasons (and not just MLP related ones either). I've had plenty of practice with some of the lines you guys have mentioned however... clearly you need to look up the voice pack I did awhile back.

DJ, I think you're confused. I'm not a disgraced soldier, I'm a medical lab technician. I take samples doctors give me (usually blood or urine, occasionally other disgusting fluids), run tests on it, and give the doctor raw data so he can make a diagnosis. I don't think my discharge will hurt me at all, but being fired from the military doesn't exactly make me look dependable

Anyway, obvsly I'm back at home now. There was some last minute craziness, but most of it was more or less expected and I still got through everything within a few hours.

but...but...it's not for nobility, honor and a deceased yet no longer forgotten people..... (but yes, I know it -is- for ponies :P)
I guess we just have to break out the big guns...

For future reference, you really want to avoid using terms like "disgusting fluids" and "my discharge" in such close proximity.  :P

Glad you made it back okay.  :)
